Within Kortrijk today are about 200 protected monuments, two of which have a UNESCO world-heritage title (the medieval Belfry and the 17th century Beguinage with the Saint Matthew Chapel from 1464). Additionally there are hundreds of valuable façades. A large number of statues, monuments, mills and landscapes make up this valuable patrimony.
