Het Stadsgroen Marionetten, bijna 60 hectare nieuwe natuur die het Kennedybos verbindt met het stadsrandbos in wording. In het gebied, dat zich uitstekend leent voor zachte recreatie, kunnen fauna en flora zich volop ontwikkelen. Op het hoogste punt staat de Libel. De Libel is meer dan een blikvanger alleen. Het paviljoen is multifunctioneel. Zo dient het als uitkijkpunt. Vanaf de facetogen kan je het prachtige natuurgebied rondom en de torens van de lager gelegen stad bewonderen. De Libel is voorts een publieke schuilruimte en biedt mogelijkheden voor educatieve tentoonstellingen. De spanwijdte van de vleugels bedraagt 37 meter, de lengte 27 meter en de constructie is tot 6 meter hoog. Een wandelpad loopt doorheen het lijf van de Libel.

Marionetten Green Area
The Marionetten green area consists of close to 60 hectares of new nature areas linking the Kennedy woods to the woods at the edge of the city that are currently under development. The entire area, which is perfect for leisurely recreation, allows the local fauna and flora to develop unhindered. Overlooking it all is the Libel (dragonfly), which is more than just something intended to draw your attention. This pavilion is in fact a multifunctional structure which can, among other things, serve as a vantage point. For example, you can look through the compound eyes and observe the beautiful surrounding nature area and the towers of the city below. The Libel also serves as a shelter for visitors and offers the possibility to organise educational exhibitions. The wings span 37 metres, the body is 27 meters long and the structure is 6 metres at its highest. There is a footpath which goes through the dragonfly's body.

Le Stadsgroen Marionetten, nouvel espace de verdure de près de 60 hectares, relie le Bois Kennedy au futur bois périurbain. Ce domaine se prête à merveille à la récréation paisible et la faune et la flore peuvent pleinement s'y développer. Au point culminant du site se trouve la Libellule (Libel). La libellule est plus qu'un simple point de mire. Ce pavillon est multifonctionnel. Il fait office de point de vue. Des yeux à facettes, on peut y découvrir une magnifique vue sur l'espace vert avoisinant et contempler les tours de la ville en contrebas. Dorénavant, la Libellule est un lieu de rendez-vous public et permet d'y organiser des expositions éducatives. L'envergure de ses ailes fait 37 mètres, leur longueur 27 mètres et la construction en soi fait 6 mètres de hauteur. Un sentier traverse même le corps de la Libellule.

Der Stadtpark Marionetten, das sind beinahe 60 Hektar neuer Natur, die den Kennedywald mit dem künftigen Wald am Stadtrand verbinden. In diesem Gebiet, das hervorragend für sanfte Erholung geeignet ist, können sich Fauna und Flora vollauf entwickeln. Auf dem höchsten Punkt steht die Libelle. Sie ist mehr als nur ein Blickfang. Es handelt sich um einen multifunktionellen Pavillon. Er dient unter anderem als Aussichtspunkt. Von den Facettenaugen aus können Sie das herrliche Naturgebiet rundherum und die Türme der tiefer gelegenen Stadt bewundern. Die Libelle ist darüber hinaus ein öffentlicher Unterstand und bietet Möglichkeiten für pädagogische Ausstellungen. Die Spannweite ihrer Flügel beträgt 37 Meter, ihre Länge 27 Meter und ihre Höhe bis zu 6 Meter. Durch den Körper der Libelle verläuft ein Wanderweg.
